Today... I became a Tiger! Grrrrrr!

When Eva is busy (or just dosen't want to be painted) and I am not at an event, there is noone to paint... or is there? Yes, I am always there, no matter where I am, I am there, it's quite obvious. And whenever I feel like painting, I feel like being painted, it's terribly bizarre!!!

(BTW, that side picture, I just took two seconds before I stuck it on the page, You can't see the side so well in the front pic)
I think I'll name this week "Tiger Week", I have done three differant tigers, and I will be doing more, it might be named "Big Cat Week", because I want to do a lion and a new cat (my last cat is sooo outdated). Anyway, here is my new "Tiger". Enjoy, be Inspired, Love Faerie Art!

*Pink* tiger face!

I was absolutely DYING to paint another face today, and one of the faces I really wanted to paint was a pink tiger! After persuading Eva (my little sister, age nine) to let me paint her, we sat down and I began my magic...

Instructions:
1. Sponge white over eyelids (not too close to eye) in a peaky triangle, as shown. Sponge white on tip of nose.

2. Re-fill sponge with white paint. Sponge a white mustache above top lip under the nose, then sponge a white beard across the jaw and chin, joining to mustache.

3. Load other side of sponge with a bright, distinctive pink. Sponge the pink all around the face being careful not to blend into the "eye-white" but blend into "mustache" and "beard".

4. Load round brush with black. With flicking movements, slightly outline the "Eye-White" triangles, as shown. Dab brush sideways to create the "nose-stripes". Carefully, in order not to go into the nose, cover top and front of nose.

5. Re-load brush with black. Place brush in centre of forehead and wiggle upwards. Do the same instructions on each side of the stripe. Draw "nose-to-top lip" line and outline lips (don't colour lips in as it is unhygienic). Paint "Whisker-Dots".
6. Re-fill brush with black. Outline muzzle slightly with flicking movements. Paint rest of stripes.
7. Re-fill brush again. press brush sideways to achieve the loop designs on the side of the jaw.
You're done! Use a beautiful, distinctive Pink to bring out the change of colours, pale pink or soft pink dosen't really stand out much. Add flowers, tiny fangs, swirls (in place of stripes), or stars.

I loved every minute of it!

Yesterday (that craft fair I've been going on about for ages), was an absolute success! I loved every minute of it! There was this one adorable little boy (about 3 or 4 years old) who was with his mum who was having a craft stall, he wanted his face done but couldn't decide what to have. When he decided a tiger his mum said he couldn't have a full face because he would smudge the paint on his nice shirt, so I gave him a tiger 'mask' instead. I had never really done a mask before so I had to revert back to all the tutorials I have watched on Youtube about painting animal masks, and think quickly. I started off by sponging white around the eyes, then a sponged a little yellow around the white. Then I sponged orange around the yellow and on the bridge of the nose. I outlined the white eyes with black, flicking my wrist to create a fur effect. I painted artistic black stripes around the face and finished it off by dabbing one spot of red-gold glitter on each stripe. It looked so cute! I also tried two butterflies out of my snazaroo booklet that I had never attempted before, they were also successful! I painted roughly 9 faces (the craft fair only had about 12 kids come). I also ended up with getting two more job opportunities, one at a santa's grotto, and one possibility at a farm during easter, but since the farm one is quite a ways away I am having to think about it. Luv you followers lots, Ettie!
